Hello bittware.
The engineers that typically monitor this forum are traveling back from a trade show today, so there may be a delayed response time. I can assure you that as soon as they have access you’ll get an answer.
Just wanted to let you know.
Cory AllenKeymasterHi ericjut. We won’t be at NAB this year. The only shows we make it out to at this point are the International Microwave Symposium (IMS) and the Association of Old Crows’ (AOC) show in DC. We’ve looked at adding a couple others to the list, but don’t quite have the resources to cover more than two shows at this point.
Cory AllenKeymaster- Dual/quad core Intel i5/i7 processors
- 8GB ram
- USB 3.0 x2 or (USB 3.0 x1 and USB 2.0 x1 ) The cable we provide is a Y-cable and makes 2 USB connections to the PC, only one of them has to be USB 3.0. To prevent the need of buying a USB extender cable, it is best to buy a laptop where the two USB ports you are using are on the same side of the PC.

I’m posting this for others who may be looking for more info on laptops, by copying and pasting the results of an email conversation we had with a customer. Note that this is not an official endorsement of these manufacturers… just some things we’ve come to realize after working with a variety of hardware for years:
The laptops we usually recommend for customers (for BB60C use) are below.
Keep in mind, some of these laptops you will need to configure to match the minimum specs which I list below.Dell Inspiron 15/17 inch laptops (consumer oriented) http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/productdetails/inspiron-15-5567-laptop

Again, just verify the CPU requirement and verify the USB ports.

Cory AllenKeymasterCory Allen June 7, 2017 at 2:21 pm in reply to: Recorded data integrity when signal strength is above or below the display level //php bbp_reply_id(); ?>
Hi Andy,
Whether or not if the data is within view on the graticule does not affect the recordings, the data will still be recorded properly. For the best dynamic range, it is ideal to have the signal near but not exceeding the top of the graticule (i.e. input power equal to or slightly less than the reference level), otherwise you should be OK.
Let us know if you have further questions or need clarifications.
Regards

Indeed, it’s been all hands on deck getting this thing ready to go out the door. As of right now we’re on target for sales availability around September of 2017, with units shipping in October.
Pricing is $11,900.00 USD. It’s a bit more than our other devices, but it’s competing with stuff priced north of $80,000.00. Stay posted for news. We’ll be keeping you updated as the device moves along. We currently have only one working device, but it’s working really well 🙂 I mean, really well. This thing’s pretty cool. Oh, and we only have one working device, but we’ve got stock for full production. Just perfecting it a bit more before sending it out the door 😉
We should have a video or two posted with some more info soon. Thanks for the thumbs-up on the phase noise spec.

Nice catch hendorog 😉 We figured we’d hide it in there and see if anyone notices.
Cory AllenKeymasterWow. Thanks for the feedback Andy. This is very appreciated. I’ll definitely let the repair team know 🙂 – Take care.
Cory AllenKeymasterThis page also lists a few facilities that offer Signal Hound calibration services: https://signalhound.com/support/spectrum-analyzer-calibration-services/
Cory AllenKeymasterHi Julian. Once upon a time you asked about precompliance testing with the BB60. Spike 3.1.0 now includes this functionality.
Check out the blog post here: https://signalhound.com/news/spike-3-1-0-now-includes-emc-pre-compliance-analysis-mode/
Just figured I’d let you know.

Hello hank22152. Our main support staff is currently in San Francisco at the International Microwave Symposium. For the rest of this week there may be a slight delay from our team, but we will get back to you… albeit a bit slower than usual.

Hi John.
Indeed, that is the comparison chart that I mentioned back in August – nice find! It was completed not too long after my post above… I probably should have followed up with that.
Take care!

Hi Robert.
I’m going to have to leave the technical details to AJ or Justin, but I can respond to your request for a comparison table. We’ve actually spent the last few days working on a device comparison chart that will soon be on our site. Hopefully it’ll be available within the next week or so. We’ve needed one for a while… we’ll post it on various channels when its out.
Once it’s up, if you have any feedback, let us know!
Thanks,
Cory
Cory AllenKeymasterFor anyone who is interested, we put together this BB60C and Tektronix RSA306 comparison chart (PDF), and had it looked over by a Tek employee at IMS2015. He had a couple corrections, and they are all included in this document.
Cory AllenKeymasterHi bongo65.
We need to know some specs about your PC. I ran a search for “ASUS EEEpc 1001HA” and found this: http://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/Eee_PC_1001HA_Seashell/. Is the the computer you are running?
Thanks,
Cory
Cory AllenKeymasterBecause of topic similarity, I’m going to close this topic. Please continue all future discussion here: https://signalhound.com/support/forums/topic/upgrade-sa-to-tg/.
Thanks Igor!
Cory AllenKeymasterHello Igor.
Per Andrew’s reply here: https://signalhound.com/support/forums/topic/upgrade-sa-to-tg/#post-24960, the SA and TG are two different products, and cannot be upgraded to a different device type.
If you need further help or clarification, please email us from the Contact Us page.
Thanks!

Ciao Claudio! Grazie. Ciao!

Hey Andy. Thanks for the feedback. We’re working like crazy to make the software so great, that it’ll make up for the issues we’ve had in the past ;-).
Oh, and I’m not sure if you saw this or not, but Justin posted a quick bit of info about TG44A sweeps in the upcoming software in the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/148252868548830/. See the attached image…

Hi Duce. As of right now, a couple months plus, at least. We’re currently telling people to expect something around the end of January.
