RVanDykeParticipantHere are a couple of features in Spike that would like to see:
1. On the right click menu in the spectrum area add a menu pick to turn off all markers. If is a little painful to turn off each marker individually.
2. I think the ‘Play’, ‘Stop’, and ‘Pause’ buttons are a little confusing in the ‘Sweep Playback’ section. The Play button serves as an Open File then a Play. The Stop button does a Stop and File Close. Many times I have hit the Stop button thinking I was just going to Stop (or pause) the play back but then have to reload the file with the Play button. I think adding a file Open button would be crisper. The Play button could then just start the play back. The Stop button would just stop the play back. The Pause button should be a toggle. Click to pause, click to start again. For the Close function to exit out of play back mode perhaps you could use an ‘Enabled’ checkbox like the Peak Table section. I think following an MP3 player use model is easier for a new user to understand.
RVanDykeParticipantJust to be a little crisper on ‘clear all markers’ description above I think it should just set the ‘Active’ status to false. I wouldn’t reset the markers as at a later point I may want them back on at that same frequency. A ‘Deactive All’ button could be an alternative.
Justin CrooksModeratorThank you for your suggestions! I’ll forward them to the software team.
AndrewModeratorHello RVanDyke,
The “Disable All” markers feature will be available in the next release of Spike. It will do just as you suggested, and simply deactivate the markers, leaving all other parameters the same.
