JolsamParticipantAfter trying Spike software, I found that I’m not able to set it to work on a range of frequencies (IE. 21Mhz and up to 1Ghz). trying in the following sequence:
1 change span to de desired one (say 20Mhz)
2 set center frequency (as example 98 MHz)
after this changes, the program holds still and looses communication with the SA, forcing me to close the program.
Please note that using the “old” program that came with my unit (SignalHound v2.18B), everything works without problems.
I’m not Shure if this is an issue with this model, so I’ll appreciate any advice to solve this problem.
Thanks in advance.

AndrewModeratorHello Jose,
I am initially unable to re-create the issue with my SA124A. Can I have you tell me what firmware version you are using and what version of Spike you are using. You can find the firmware version in the lower right hand corner of the Spike application, and the software version can be found in the Help->About menu.
If you determine you are using a version of Spike before 3.0.5, try updating to the latest version by downloading 3.0.13 here, http://www.signalhound.com/Spike.

JolsamParticipantHello Andrew,
Thanks for your reply, here you have the info you requested:
SA124A S/N 20260141 firmware version 3.02
I tried Spike version 3.0.12 and 3.0.13, unfortunately no luck at all.
I’m actually using win7 64b on my desktop and laptop, I’ll try to find another computer with different version of windows and try.
thanks.
