SCPI without Spike

Is it possible to send SCPI commands & queries to the device WITHOUT Spike running? Specifically, I’d like to be able to use PyVisa (Python) to communicate with the USB-SA44B as I do with other devices.

Steve,

You can communicate with the API without Spike running, but Spike is required for SCPI. There is a hidden mode if you don’t want it visible.
