AKalmanParticipantI am trying to connect Spike to an SA44 over USB on Ubuntu Linux on a Intel NUC, without success.
The SA44’s LED is green, and lsusb shows that the VCP FTDI drivers are happy and see the SA44.
I followed FTDI’s AN_220 to install the D2XX drivers through section 2.1.1, as well as SignalHound’s README.txt for the Spike install in Ubuntu, but I always get “No Signal Hound analyzer was detected.” etc. when launching Spike.
Is there some other App Note or tool I can use to verify that the D2XX drivers are loading properly?
AndrewModeratorAKalman,
The SA series spectrum analyzers are unfortunately not supported on Linux. Only the BB and SM spectrum analyzers are supported.
I apologize for the inconvenience.
Andrew
AKalmanParticipantWell, that explains it!
Thanks,
