Dear Andrew,
thank you for replying.
Give my regards to management. They decided to go extortion route..
No I don’t want to give 100 USD a year for a “privilege” to get back what was removed from the software.
That is called extortion. A racket. To make it worse, that is connected to false marketing, where company web page still pretendes that old phase noise measurement is part of the software.
It is sad to see my favorite company go down the route of all others that want to “rent me” stuff I already paid for and after the fact.
Like I said. Return old one and then if “new and glorious” Advanced Phase Measurement is so great, there will be people buying Advanced one because it is better. Fact that you need to remove old one to force people to buy the bough option does not look good.
I will start looking into other realtime SA on market. My BB60B might be due for replacement and I am getting curious where it’s replacement will come from.
Anyways, I personally thank you for taking time to answer us.
You and Justin are great as ever…My best,
Sinisa

I think I spoke too soon.
There is not a peep as to restoring old simplified phase noise analysis.
This unfortunately makes me think what is next to be axed and made paid option…
Best,

Sound of silence here deafening.
I see this move and connected lack of any response to reaction of customers as bad sign. Please, in addition to new “pro” version of Phase noise analysis bring back standard plain version.
It is horrible move to take away what you had for 10 years. What is next? Real time analysis as a paid option too. Going to “Rent a feature option” where there is no options at all for free but you need to pay subscription ?
Please make it right.
Best,

Same here.
Just tried it and realized that what was working before is now asking 2500 USD for a year. I am hoping this is not walking back on free features. That is not a good move. I have no problems that you introduce a new, more sophisticated phase noise measurement module as paid for option. But old simple one should stay. I don’t use it often and on my BB60C instrument phase noise is not very good to begin with. So no I will not pay for it…Please, we need clarification on this.
