MehdiParticipantHi.
What’s the added benefit of the SA124B option 2 (OCXO) apart from frequency stability? I want to know its impact on the measurements’ accuracy, to decide if it’s a better option for me than the regular one.
Is there any info about the OCXO’s phase noise? (actually, does it contribute to the device’s phase noise at all?)Regards,
Mehdi
MehdiParticipantOne more question: would I get the same results, if I use the regular SA124B with my own OCXO providing its external ref input?
Justin CrooksModeratorThe OCXO is only for frequency stability. It does not affect the phase noise specification (there may be a slight improvement close in). An external reference can also be used for improved frequency accuracy, especially if the external reference is disciplined to GPS.
