Robert BowmakerParticipantHi,
I’m having a hard time figuring out exactly how similar/different the BB60C and USB-SA124B are, and how those differences manifest in the Spike software. The feature lists look completely different, and yet they can both become half of a Scalar Network Analyzer? What’s going on? I’d strongly suggest a side-by-side comparison table between the two.
In particular, the USB-SA124B has a “High Dynamic Range Measuring Receiver”. Does the BB60C not have this? How does this manifest in the Spike software?
The BB60C has “Digitized IF Data at 80 million samples per second”, whereas the other has “I/Q Data up to a 240 KHz bandwidth”. So does the BB60C digitize a single, image-rejected sideband, whereas the SA-124B uses the I/Q method?
I could go on, there a plenty of other differences in the feature list that are difficult to pair off. Any advice to clarify all this would be greatly appreciated!
Cory AllenKeymasterHi Robert.
I’m going to have to leave the technical details to AJ or Justin, but I can respond to your request for a comparison table. We’ve actually spent the last few days working on a device comparison chart that will soon be on our site. Hopefully it’ll be available within the next week or so. We’ve needed one for a while… we’ll post it on various channels when its out.
Once it’s up, if you have any feedback, let us know!
Thanks,
Cory
john44066ParticipantDid this comparison table ever get generated? I am trying to figure out which of the 2 devices would fit my needs. That table will help summarize the 2 units and steer me in the right direction.

john44066ParticipantOOpppsss, I think I found the comparison. Is this link the comparison table you were speaking of producing? I believe it is. I must have missed it unless it was just added after my message. I believe the former applies.

Cory AllenKeymasterHi John.
Indeed, that is the comparison chart that I mentioned back in August – nice find! It was completed not too long after my post above… I probably should have followed up with that.
Take care!
