jonathan.hParticipantHi,
I’m trying to simultaneously use the PCR4200 VSG to generate a test signal connected to one of the inputs, to then try to measure on that signal.
I can generate signals perfectly, but as soon as I try to connect to the instrument it stops the VSG.
Isn’t the purpose of the VSG to allow calibration or simultaneous measurements, or am I doing something wrong? It seems there is either a watchdog making sure the VSG connection is kept alive, or the new (SA) connection resets the instrument halting any ongoing VSG signals from being generated.
Best regards
Joanthan
Justin CrooksModeratorJonathan,
Yes, using the VSG and receiver channels simultaneously is the whole point of the integrated VSG.
It should be one connection to the instrument, and one full setup, including transmit and receive channels. A new connection to the instrument would likely reset things.
I’m not the best person to answer, so if you email support@signalhound.com with the details of what you tried and what you want to happen, they can assist you.- AuthorPosts
