Tim RafalcoParticipantI have been playing around VSG60 but cannot add enough AWGN to have negative SNR of a signal. Is this a known limitation or is there a way to enable playing out the digital/arb at a negative SNR?
Thanks!
AndrewModeratorHi Tim,
Looks like we clamp at 0dB SNR in the software, so this is going to be a hard limitation right now.
The only workaround would be to generate your own waveform and transmit it using the Arb mode.
I have made a note to look into negative SNR’s and see if this is an easy add for a future release of the VSG software.
Thanks for the feedback.
Tim RafalcoParticipantThanks for the response! Negative SNRs are helpful especially when testing the lower limit of receivers. Would love to see that in the future.
