CyprienParticipantHi,
I note page 12 of the manual it says “The USB-SA124B has a 6 MHz RBW which may be used above 200 MHz for faster sweeps. The 6 MHz RBW offers faster sweeps at the expense of a higher noise floor and lower frequency resolution”, but I can’t seem to enable this in sweep mode, even if the start frequency of the sweep is > 200 MHz. Any tips as it is really useful to do quick and dirty wideband sweeps? Maybe I am just too spoilt with the BB60C/D sweep speeds
Regards,
Cyprien
AndrewModeratorCyprien,
I just activated it by
– Launching Spike
– Changing the start freq to 201M
– Clicking ‘up’ on the RBW control from 100k -> 250k -> 6MHz.When the 6M RBW is active, the whole sweep updates at once (no partial updates). It takes ~5s for a full 12GHz sweep.
Let me know if this doesn’t work for you.
CyprienParticipantHi Andrew
Thanks I tried this and it works – for some reason yesterday I could only get this working in interference hunting mode but not in sweep. I must have been impatient – maybe its because there is a sweep progress bar in the interference hunting mode.
