j_marchettiParticipantI let my co-worker borrow my VSG to trouble shoot our building’s XM antenna distribution system. I had only wanted them to use the VSG with a wip antenna located about a foot away from the antenna and use radiated coupling, so there would be no issues. However they decided on their own to removed the antenna and inject the VSG output right at the antenna cable to see what came out the other end of the cable network. They used a 5V bias T at the other end where the spectrum analyzer which isolated it, but the VSG was subjected to 5V bias. Could this harm it or is it capacitively coupled on the output?
Justin CrooksModeratorThere is a DC blocking capacitor, so you should be fine up to 16 volts DC.
j_marchettiParticipantPerfect! Thanks for the help.
