mpatinoParticipantHI,
Boughtg a SB44B, and it does not recognize my USB remote USB from Digi, I aquired an USB anywhere 2 USB Ports, as of today we were in the same UOS,
The USB is Digi USB anywhere; Spike works fine on the USB port of my PC; when I try to load spike using RDP the system crashs….
I fixed by using RDPChrome… But I wanted to go further, I have installed Spikle on my laptop (HP Envy with 4GB memory 250GB hard disk, adn 3i Intel processor…
I would like to connect a remote USB 2.0/Ethenet port, my coimputer detects the USB but my SA44B never starts and I get the “No Device”
Message, any help?
AndrewModeratorHi mpatino,
I’m afraid I have never used the Digi USB anywhere products, although I do remember one customer in the past successfully running an SA device on them. Can you verify whether the device is showing up as a USB device in the device manager? Also, is the device properly powered on the Digi hub, i.e. LED is green on the device? I wish I could be of more help.
Regards,
Andrew
mpatinoParticipantAndrew:
Thank you for your answer, I ran a couple of tests and didn’t check these details, the USB shows in device manager, and I tested it with an USB/RS232 converter… I’m not sure about power and don’t recall checking the led. I will check those and get back to you. In the meantime could you tell if Spike sampling does time out? in other words latency affect the handshake?,
Thank you,
AndrewModeratorHello mpatino,
I hope I understand your question correctly.
The SA44B requires a solid USB connection. Any latencies or time outs will cause the software to stop working. This is because the software is requesting large amounts of data from the receiver and any gap or loss in the data will result in invalid measurements. If there is too much latency the device will also likely not even be able to initialize.

Andrew
jimkongParticipantHi mpatino,
I am asking as I need to remote to the SA124B VIA ethernet using a USB anywhere from DIGI which I am thinking of acquiring. Were you able to get the link and SA working?
Thanks
