jjoonathanParticipantBased on discussion in the Spike thread, I’m pretty sure Spike doesn’t yet have a replacement for the old “Downconverter Offset” setting for (rough) mixer characterization, but I’d like to double check, because using the old software to get this feature is quite the, err, experience 🙂 Also I’d like to get my vote on the ticket if that matters.
The old Signal Hound software is really making me appreciate the work you’re doing with Spike!
AndrewModeratorHi jjoonathan,
Thank you very much for the feedback. If I remember correctly, the downconverter offset was a flat frequency offset (adjusting the frequency readouts)? Is that adequate for your needs? I’ll see if this is something I can sneak into the next release. There may not be a new release for a few months as we are deep in product development and are preparing for a trade show in June.
Regards,
Andrew
DaveSParticipantI know this is an old post, but did anything happen with this? I did some tests on a C-band LNB earlier which would have been a lot easier with an offset function for the tracking generator based on the LNB LO frequency.
AndrewModeratorUnfortunately no progress on this.
