GerardParticipantHi,
I’m fighting USB problems for more than a week now and I can’t get it working.
System:
Win 7 pro x64 SP1Everything works fine on a laptop with the same OS (win7 pro x64 SP1). I have to use this device on a desktop but the 0403/6010 drivers aren’t picked-up. I tried:
– Uninstall with CDMuninstaller
– Reinstalled
– Manually browse to the driver folder as noticed by FTDI and try to manually install. The .inf file doesn’t even give me a valid choice, just tells me that there is no compatible driver.
– Tried the latest FTDI D2xx drivers installation
– RegEeditor clean everythingI’m trying now for more than a week but I don’t know how to go further. It is not picking up any drivers, the laptop however shows a composite and A/B serial driver.
Any suggestions?
GerardParticipantI solved this by exporting all the 0403/6010 usb keys from regedit. There are 3, one composite and two serial converter.
I then imported it in regedit on my desktop which I started with a tool runassystem otherwise you can’t change USB keys. I first removed all the previous 0403/6010 keys.
https://sourceforge.net/projects/runassystem/
I have attached the registry settings that I used
(windows 7 pro x64 SP1)A very frustrating thing those D2xx drivers.

Justin CrooksModeratorI’m sorry you had a hard time with the drivers. Lately, many customers have had to un-check the “Load VCP driver” check box, but that is usually the extent of the driver problems.
If this happens again, there is a second possibility. If the SA124A has trouble booting or rebooting, there is a small FTDI settings patch I can send you that might help.
