pedro.teixeira2ParticipantHello, is there any way to coherently use 2 or more VSG devices in order to increase the streaming bandwith by doing the combining at a later stage ?
This could be done via scripting, im only interested in the feasibility at this point .
Best Regards, Pedro.
AndrewModeratorPedro,
Multiple VSG60/200s cannot be used in a phase coherent manner. While multiple units could be used simultaneously, their alignment would at best be 10’s of milliseconds.
Let us know if you have follow up questions.
pedro.teixeira2Participantok ty, i was expectig something like that.
Do you have plans of a 100Mhz+ BW signal generated to be relased in the future ?
Justin CrooksModeratorPedro,
We are actively gathering requirements for our next gen VSG line, with considerably more bandwidth. If you had to pick a bandwidth, what would you want, knowing that higher bandwidth generally increases cost? And how big of a waveform (in milliseconds) would you need? Single channel or multi-channel?
pedro.teixeira2Participant300+ Mhz would be our goal, with a waveform to be transmited in about 30% duty cycle on a 20 us pulse.
Double channel could be of interest but is not mandatory for now.
AndrewModeratorThank you for your input Pedro!
epanyuwParticipantPossiblly having both Trigger In and Out port for next gen of VSG?

Justin CrooksModeratorYes, the wider bandwidth next generation VSG will include a trigger in/out.
