JanParticipantI was a little surprised to find there’s no normalization function in Spike, in SA analysis mode(s). It can of course normalize with the TG enabled. It would be really useful to collect an average and use as a baseline when using EMC near-field probes, and perhaps for other purposes as well.
So what would it do? Copy a chosen trace to a memory, make it the ref level at call it 0dB. Center it vertically. Then when sweeping show the difference from the baseline in memory, >0dB going above the ref level, <0dB going below.
AndrewModeratorHi Jan,
Thanks for the request. I could see this being very useful. I know we have talked about implementing trace math in the future. I think that would be a good time to add trace normalization as well.
Cheers,
