drockParticipantHello,
I just finished installing an SA124B fresh out-of-the-box along with the latest version of the SPIKE software and FTDI USB drivers. When I open SPIKE, I am presented with a graphic display that shows annotations but no data. There isn’t even a noise floor displayed. So I hooked in a 70MHZ pulsed signal with the same result. I verified the signal source with a different Spectrum Analyzer.
There are no error messages or any other indicator that something is wrong except that no data is displayed.
Please help
AndrewModeratorHello drock,
I’m glad we were able to resolve your issues via email. You have my email now if you have further questions.
For other users who might be searching the forums, the issue was with the McAfee real-time virus protection. Disabling this allowed the device to operate properly on the PC.

bayderkhaniParticipantHello
Is the Spike software work for SA124B spectrum analyzer or other version of software should be installed for this device?
I installed the Spike but its stop Freq. is limited for 6GHz!thank you
AndrewModeratorHello bayderkhani,
The Spike software can be used with all of our devices. Some quick questions.
In the lower right hand corner of the software, in the status bar, it should list the device type/serial number/firmware version. Can you let me know what is listed there?
What is the version of the Spike software you have installed? You should be able to view this in the Help->About menu.
I won’t in the office until Tuesday the 3rd to be able to address this fully.
I look forward to your reply and thank you for your patience.
Regards,
