VolkerParticipantHi Andrew,
I really like this feature.
I have some suggestions for future:
– Make an output port of the analyser usable for swichting on and off of the noise source. This way noise figure could be placed in continuos mode and calibration is a “one click”.
A checkbox like “use sync port for noise source control” probably will be enough.
– a little more complicated: add attenuator before and after dutthanks and keep on.

AndrewModeratorVolker,
Thanks for the feedback!
This did come up in discussion when developing the feature. Those noise sources need a 28V supply which none of our devices can provide. We would have to rev the hardware for this.
An alternative is to use the trig port to drive something external that powered the noise source. Is this what you had in mind?
I look forward to your response.
Andrew
VolkerParticipantHi Andrew,
of course a standart noise source needs 28V. There is no need to drive it direct. It would be rather easy to use a trigger signal to drive some switching logic. Just need a signal and maybe a delay to start the next measurement.
