VictorParticipantHi
I’m using the I/Q recorder utility in Spike.
When opening the utility the default “Max File Size” is always set to default value of 140000 kb. Is there a way to save a pre-set or similar so every time I open the recorder it is set to what I have saved?
AndrewModeratorHi Victor,
There is not any way to do this right now, I will see about improving this for the next release.
VictorParticipantThank you 🙂
AndrewModeratorHi Victor,
This functionality was added and will be in the next release of Spike.
Andrew
VictorParticipantThank you for the quick response and implementation.

VictorParticipantHi
Is there a possibility to implement this to the the iq recorder, that the Center frequency and sample rate Is saved to the file name?
Thank you
AndrewModeratorThank you for the feature request Victor. I will update this thread if we add something to address this.

AL_BParticipantHi Folks,
Im using the I/Q recorder utility for satellite downlink receptions – the SNRs are often just above the noise floor….The Preview spectrum one sees whilst setting up/making the I/Q recording is very basic – and it can be hard to distinguish if the target signal is present or whether one is simply looking at noise.
I believe ADDING a new option for AVERAGING to this preview spectrum would be a great help in this regard. Ideally with user selectable values e.g. 4 or 8 ……
Hope this might be possible

AL_BParticipantAlso I would like to “upvote” the idea of having the centre freq and sample rate at which a recording is made, included into the auto-filename.
Many times Ive found myself unsure of what S.R. was used – “just a few minutes later”…..
It would be great if we didnt need to make a note of it – and it was just captured and put in the filename as a standard.
Many thanks
Alan
AndrewModeratorThanks for the feedback Alan. I’ll get this into our request log. I think these are reasonable requests.
