Using Linux for this application and no anti-virus is running.
Have only received one type of error code from the unit.
The subsequent trace is correct.
Is there some sort of CRC error checking between the SH and the api? I can work with a trace that has errors but I need to know to reject it.
This application will send alarms if the trace is out of tolerance so it is critical that false alarms are not generated.
Is there a different or better FTDI driver available?
Does running the FTDI driver or USB communications in priority mode help?
Thanks,
Jay

Andrew,
In the attenuator issue, my problem was caused by they order in when the attenuator was commanded.
The only error I see reported is error -11, no other errors being reported from the get sweep function.
Another issue I am having is that once in awhile I am receiving a spectrum plot that is corrupted or shifted by a few kHz or MHz. It appears more often when an error is being reported but it also happens when no error is being reported. Any idea what could be causing this. The spectrum array is correct in size, its like there is a buffer issue and the spectrum points are shifted.
Thanks,
Jay

Andrew.
Thanks, not sure what I was doing wrong but now attenuation and gain settings work.
I start seeing Error Converter messages when the attenuation is set too low. I assume that the input level is too high with that particular attenuation setting.
Thanks,
